Last night some of our teamed got dressed up and headed off for a night of celebrations to Kings Hall in Stoke-on-Trent, for the Business Awards by The Sentinel. Our first Apprentice to join our team back in 2017 – Alex Critchley – was shortlisted at the beginning of the year for the Apprentice of the Year 2019 Award and we couldn’t be happier! Read more about that here.

Alex and his parents, Paul (our General Manager) and Kayleigh (our Marketing Manager) spent the evening celebrating Alex’s achievements. We were greeted with a red carpet entrance, glass of bubble and entertainment by a string quartet. Throughout the evening we got to enjoy a 4 course meal, drinks and entertainment.

The Apprentice of the Year 2019 category was announced first and we were shown all three candidate’s introductory videos which showcase their hard work and achievements. Alex was definitely up against some tough competition and the category sponsors, KMF Group, even found it difficult to choose a winner! But, that’s where we knew all along that Alex had it in him to win…AND HE DID!

The whole team here at Graham Heath Construction, and within the Graham Heath Group, are extremely proud and pleased for Alex. This is a fantastic award to have under his belt and we look forward to him completing his Apprenticeship this summer and joining us on a full-time basis as a fully trained CAD Draughtsman.
We’re always looking to expand our team to support the continuous growth of the company. We have a new opportunity available for another Apprentice Draughtsman to join our thriving team – to find out more, visit our careers page, or contact Paul Hanson on 01270 781158.
