GHC’s Biomass housing sparks a new business partnership
About the project
Local renewable energy supplier Smeaton Wood Energy specialise in technologies such as Biomass and Solar PV, catering for both Commercial and Domestic enquiries nationwide. Company Director Tom Charlesworth originally got in touch with Graham Heath Construction to erect a steel framed building for his onsite Biomass Boiler.
It is essential that Biomass Boilers are contained in the right environment, in order for them to work to their full capacity. The aim of this particular Biomass installation was to heat poultry sheds, as the chickens need to be in high temperature climates during their early days. So it needed to be kept in mind when planning the building that Tom wanted to retain as much heat as possible.
The Biomass Boiler would also then be used as a showcase of the Smeaton Wood Energy products, allowing potential customers to view them by appointment.
A smooth and straightforward process from day one
The fact that Graham Heath Construction have been making steel-framed buildings for over 18 years was a huge pull for Tom when looking for a reliable steel framed building supplier.
“I had known about Graham Heath Construction for some time, as they are based close to Smeaton Wood, but what really pushed me to choose them over other building suppliers was their experience and proven track record. The competitive prices also made a big difference.”
As always, the GHC team wanted to ensure the whole process was as straightforward as possible. Tom noted how impressed he was from the very start of the operation.
“They had an extremely professional approach and ensured the Biomass Boiler sheds were made to the highest quality. I was very pleased with the end result.”
Graham Heath Construction has a dedicated team of erectors who deliver; install and project manage the construction of their buildings across the whole of the UK. This was another important factor in Tom’s decision to partner with GHC: “The fact that GHC operate nationwide is great because I won’t need to look around for multiple suppliers.”
Tom was so impressed with the work Graham Heath Construction did for him that he wanted to recommend them to his customers, as he often gets enquiries about the best supplier for buildings.
“We get enquiries all the time not just for Biomass housing but also about extensions and grain storage. A partnership with GHC means that I can refer customers to a firm that I myself have dealt with and used their services. I am more than confident that I’m leaving my customers in good hands with GHC.”
From this, a partnership was born and GHC became the official building supplier for Smeaton Wood Energy, providing CE Marked steel framed buildings and concrete panels to be used in conjunction with Tom’s Biomass Boilers and Solar Panels.
